Maryland MVA and Tax Notes
Buyer must present this Bill of Sale, the signed title, odometer disclosure, and pay the 6% excise tax (plus any county fees) to title the vehicle within the required timeframe at a Maryland MVA office or authorized agent.
Private sales may be subject to use tax collection by the MVA based on the sale price or NADA value, whichever is higher in some cases. Verify current rates and forms.
